Kisses from Jesus

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing."
Zephaniah 3:17

Oh Lord, you are sweet to bind up the brokenhearted... even when we are silly with un-meetable expectations and that is the cause of our broken heart.  So many times I feel like my emotions are all over the place with things that you are keeping from me.  However I do know that you have my best interest in mind.  Thank you for the kisses from your Word!

Dream come true

Have you ever thought about what you would want to do if money and time wasn't an issue???

Recently this question was asked of me by a visitor to the island of Molokai.  As I stood there thinking about what I would dream to do... I realized I am living my dream.  Working and sharing the love of Jesus with little ones is my passion... I truly enjoy teaching big people how to work with little people... and I love to travel to encourage others that are serving the LORD throughout the world.

I would have never dreamed that I would be serving in this current capacity on a Hawaiian island in the middle of paradise. I would have never dreamed of travelling all over the world... Australia, Europe, England, New Zealand, Korea, Tahiti, Haiti, Egypt.... encouraging other believers.  I would have never dreamed of teaching and directing an Early Childhood Program and absolutely loving it.

God gives us our dreams above and beyond what we could ask or imagine.  I spent many years telling God what  I wasn't going to do... not going to teach... not going to move far away... not going to work with middle school age kids... not going to wipe snotty noses for a living.  Thankfully God has a sense of humor and it has been a privilege to do the things I had set that I wasn't going to do.

With all of that said,  there is no where else I would rather be than right in the midst of the story that God has written for me.  Yes, I fail and I fight but God uses me anyway.  Praise be to HIS great name.  I will truly follow whereever He calls!

I Will Follow

A 'spring' in my step

It is that time of year... SPRING!  You know the time of year where chicks hatch... flowers bloom... days are getting longer.  At this exact moment, I think my favorite part is the one week break, I get from my dear little ones to catch up on other things like sleep... friends... laundry... and the list can go on.

I am realizing that God was the inventor of "breaks"... he worked for 6 days and took a day off to rest.  The more I see how we are to model our lives after his, the more I praise Him.

The song that has been running through my mind all evening...

"How can I keep from singing your praise?  How can I ever say enough, how amazing is your love?"

You are God of this island

In this world of chaos, sickness, and death there is one constant that we can hold on to... the great I AM!  So many times in the midst of everyday life we only see God in pieces... for example... Oh, God I need your strength... What would happen if we worshiped HIM in the fullness that He deserves?  What would change in our lives?  in our homes?? in the cities in which we live??? in our nation?

Recently the song "You are God of this city" by Chris Tomlin has been echoing through my mind... with the exception of city is changed to island.  Living on a very religious island... many here are missing the true God.

What greater things are we missing out on because we are choosing not to worship Him in fullness and truth?  We are truly living dark, hopeless lives, restless for the next worldly thing to come about.  What would happen if we truly put Him in our lives... FIRST?

I truly believe that God is wanting to do greater things in our lives, homes, cities, and nation if we would call out to Him and put Him first.  Seek first His kingdom!

You're God of this City
by Chris Tomlin

You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You are

[Verse 2]
You're the Light in this darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless
You are

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

[Chorus]
For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City

[Verse 1]

[Verse 2]

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

[Chorus]
For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here

There is no one like our god
There is no one like our God

[Chorus]
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here
